Sometimes college students neglect to take care of their bodies.
Seeing a physician can be time consuming and costly, especially if you do not have insurance.

Medical bills and prescription drugs are expensive and when you are a college student on a budget, sometimes you have to go weeks before you can get or afford treatment. But, there are options you can choose from if you do get sick or need special treatment.

Depending on the condition, you can be treated on campus at Queen Washington Health Center. If they can not help you, workers will direct you to some place that you can get medical treatment.

It is also important to have a healthy diet and exercise plan. Sometimes illness and stress are preventable if we take care of ourselves.

Along with taking care of your body it is very important to take care of your mind. As college students it is easy to let stress get the best of you, but there are a few things you can do to relieve the stress.

Experienced college students know the importance of dividing study time and party time. Stress can be reduced in different ways, and staying organized is a start. Here are some tips:

• Use a monthly calendar to remember important dates like exams or project due dates
• Use a daily planner to list tasks that must be accomplished through the week
• Create a block schedule
• Get an early start on each day
• Eliminate excessive hours of leisure time
• Set clock alarms for reminders and wake up calls
• Exercise
• Use Post-It notes
• Prioritize

In addition to these tip I also encourage people to relax, and take into account that college is a hectic time. Remember to take of yourself first and other things will fall in line.
